Membership

  • What Does Membership Mean?

Church members commit to joining a spiritual family who provides encouragement and support.  They are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service, and sacrifice.  Our pastors and ministry leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching.  It is our hope that you will commit to being a member at Country Woods.

  • Four Reasons to Be a Member...

    • It's Biblical
      • Christ is committed to the church.  "...Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her."  (Ephesians 5:25)
    • It's Counter cultural
      • We live in an age when people resist being committed to anything - a job, a marriage, our country.  Becoming a member of and serving alongside of a body of believers is an unselfish decision.
    • It's Practical
      • We know we can depend upon those that are in our church family.  That is even more evident within our Life Groups.
    • It's Healthy
      • It produces spiritual growth.  The Bible gives major emphasis for the need of Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth.  You are not accountable when you aren't committed to a specific church family.
